The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning – 91" Wide – Black shields your slide-out from leaves, twigs, and rainwater that can damage seals and lead to mildew. Designed for slide-outs measuring 86" to 91" wide with a 48" extension, it automatically extends and retracts with your slide-out to keep the top clear. By blocking standing water and debris, it helps prevent leaks and keeps your RV interior dry and clean every time you retract the slide.
Made with premium 13.5-oz vinyl, this topper is tougher than standard 10-oz fabrics and won’t crack in cold weather down to -25°F. The seams are heat-welded to stop rain from seeping through, giving you long-term durability in both hot and freezing conditions. Its solid black color matches the included black hardware for a clean, unified look.
Everything you need comes in the box—brackets, self-tapping screws, awning rail, and the roller tube already fitted with the fabric. The rail mounts up to 5" above the slide-out trim, while the roller arms attach easily using the access plate and brackets. With a little help, most owners can get it installed in a few hours.
The awning rail measures 91" long, and when fully extended, the fabric covers a 91" width by 48" projection. It’s made to fit slide-outs 86"-91" wide and gives the right overhang for sealing out weather. You’ll need at least 7" of clearance on each side—or a total of 14" between adjacent slides—to ensure smooth operation with no interference.
A proper slope lets rain drain immediately, protecting the fabric from stretching or warping. With the right 3" height difference between the rail and brackets, water runs off instead of collecting on top. Once installed at the correct angle, the topper works seamlessly and stays taut trip after trip.
It's important that the slide-topper sits at as steep an angle as possible so that any rainwater will drain immediately. Any water that sits in the awning can stretch out the fabric permanently and warp it out of shape.

I purchased this slide out cover a year ago and it has worked flawlessly. I do volunteer work for various federal agencies as well as wildland firefighting and pretty much live in my travel trailer 247, and I never worry about bringing my slide out in when it rains or snows. In a year or so when I trade in my trailer and purchase a new one, if it doesnt have Lippert slide out covers, Ill definitely spend the money to purchase them.

the slide top I purchased has held up well and works well. I did have a complaint about the quality of screws provided with the awning. Without being snippy I doubt anything has been done about that and I bet people are still snapping the heads off of those screws.

Working as well as when new, purchased a second one sized for a 179 r-pod with same results although a small modification was necessary on the r-pod gutter drain spouts to install. Pleased with both.
